It breaks my heart to see the blatant disrespect I see in this country towards our long standing institutions. The NFL has been a JOKE, I haven't watched a Super Bowl since 2011. Outside of a handful of live games I attended in the last decade (FOUR, to be exact-the last one in 2017), I have only watched FOUR football games total on TV in the last TWELVE years. All were Steelers playoff games (in 2015 and 2016), but I will never watch another game ever again. MLB has joined the idiocy, with Manfred being the WORST Commissioner baseball has EVER seen. My last MLB game was attended in person and watched on TV in 2019. I now officially am done with MLB too.
I once attended in person and watched more MLB games in the last decade than I can remember, but never again. Marxism (masquerading as social justice) continues to poison and ruin our sports, entertainment and now society. I will no longer give a cent towards people or institutions that do not respect me as a fan or consumer. So, this collection will continue to dwindle and not be added to, as it has over the last 3 years now and counting. I will not sell it all, as many pieces are memories of the past...good memories. But I cannot respect myself if I continue to support these people. I went from once have multiple rooms of game used sports memorabilia, closets full and hats and gear to now literally a corner in my office. Only a handful of caps and retail jerseys remaining, the rest sold in yard sales or given away to family.
My Dad has been gone for over 6 years now. He would no longer recognize the Twilight Zone we now live in. However, to remember happier times...
When I was a kid, I started collecting. More accurately, my Dad started me collecting! I vividly recall my Dad got me a bunch of baseball and football cards, along with two cases to separate them by teams...and I was hooked! Since that day, I always wanted something unique. At first it was that rare card I could trade for, then later on buy. Then it was getting an autograph from an athlete, something I did with my Dad at Steelers training camp in the '70s often.
Finally, it graduated to Game Worn / Used gear, which is truly a one of a kind collectible!
I created this site to share the knowledge I have gained over the years collecting, and to show my own personal collection of game worn and signed helmets, jerseys, bats, gloves and caps. I also have my first love, autographs in here as well!
All the header photos were taken by ME, in person, at various games and venues across this great country of ours! I have been to 13 different MLB parks to see games in my life, which includes now gone Three Rivers Stadium and Veterans Stadium.
This page is also dedicated to the loss of my Dad, who I lost in 2016 to cancer. My father served during the Vietnam War in the Marine Corps where he was a Sergeant. He is the reason I WAS such an avid baseball fan. He is the reason I played football and baseball into high school and college. My dad nurtured my love of baseball and sports, among other things. We talked every weekend, multiple times about our beloved Pirates. In past baseball seasons I have found myself more than once thinking about him, and missing our conversations we would inevitably have about the game or a certain player. I miss you Dad, and loved you. I know you are now in Heaven with your family, in peace and out of pain :) .
In closing, I want to thank Jesus Christ for being my Lord and Savior who I pay tribute to with the top header photograph. Without him none of this would be possible. I praise him as he continues to bless me, and pray this world finds God again before it is too late.
I hope you enjoy the site!
